We will be hosting a 450th First Spanish Families Reunion during Labor Day Weekend of 2015 as a part of the St. Augustine 450th Commemoration. We are planning activities in Old City for the day preceding and following the main Sunday event such as Society created walking tours, restaurant meals, boat tours and more. Plan to stay on for the City's gala dinner on Monday evening which includes a fireworks display Sunday night, a cake cutting Monday and the Founder's Day celebration all day Tuesday. If you have any ancestors that were born in Florida during the First Spanish Period, 1565-1763, you are invited! Please contact info@losfloridanos.org to be added to the Reunion email list.

We voted in some exciting revisions to the by-laws at the Annual Meeting in October, among them allowing for Regional Chapters to be started! We welcomed many new members and spent a good afternoon together, catching up and meeting each other. Preliminary plans were presented for our 450th First Families Reunion in summer of 2015. Volunteers to get the various balls rolling are still needed! Contact us at info@losfloridanos.org if you're interested!
